Peasant Kings are an upbeat and entertaining 4-piece classic rock and blues band from Barrie Ontario. The band formed in 2018 from a collection of rock and blues loving musicians who met through the local music scene. Influenced by the great sounds of Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones and Eric Clapton amongst others, their unique brand of entertainment fuses incredible guitars and a tight rhythm section with audience interaction and witty stage banter that will make you want to dance and sing all night. David Wildsmith is a versatile musician who has been touring for over forty years. His vocal styles range from Roy Orbison to Bryan Adams with a wide palette of sounds at his finger tips. David has shared the stage with or opened for national touring acts including Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foreigner, Pat Benatar, REO Speedwagon, and CCR.
Jason Redman, is both a gifted writer and multi-instrumentalist. Playing in our community for many years, Jason is well known for his unique talent, and tranquil personality. Musicians such as Van Morrison, Dylan and Springsteen from the 70’s have influenced Jason, although; he is known to play in as many genres as possible. Jason plays the guitar, harmonica, banjo, piano and mandolin and “loves finger picking acoustic and harmonica”! Jason has released an impressive body of work since his debut self titled album (Jason Redman), which was released in 1999: “Blue Oblivion” (2002), “A Better View” (2004) and “Starlight Drive” (2008).
