Marshall Dane
May 12 @ 9:00 pm

Born in St. Catharines, Marshall grazed on a rich fix of music, from the country sounds of his preacher Dad who taught him to play “The Farmer’s Song” on guitar to his Mom, who played piano in the evenings for his family of four sisters and two brothers. Marshall admits that his parents’ spiritual upbringing permeates his songs with themes of love, home and kindness.

Similar to Tim McGraw’s “Humble and Kind”, you will find that kindred message within his songs, his day to day life and the relationships he has with his many fans.

These values drove his 7 trips with Adventure Canada, travelling to the Arctic thru the Northwest Passage, Greenland, Labrador; while performing for some very esteemed guests: David Suzuki, film maker John Huston, Stuart McLean, Alex Trebek and key members of the Canadian Geographical Society, to name a few. Yet, Marshall will tell you that some of his more memorable Arctic memories were made while playing for the citizens of small Inuit communities.

For five years in a row, Marshall has been nominated for Male Artist of the Year at the CMAO Awards, alongside artists who have major label backing and riding recent hit singles. Why? Sheer fan power it is Marshall’s fans who have consistently voted him into the top level. The fans don’t need a chart number to influence their loyalty he’s a star to them, and that’s the real end game. They hear it. They feel it.

Whether it’s a large scale festival stage, the CNE, one of the many CCMA Country Music Week performances or an intimate club, Marshall’s live show is second to none. He is an artist that always connects with his audience and his energy and passion for performing makes his shows impossible to forget. “I love to write songs and I love recording them, but when I step out on a stage in front of a packed house, that’s where the fire starts for me.”

If you haven’t already, discover why his fans will tell you that Marshall Dane is a “must see” and most importantly, “must hear.”

KICK ASS COUNTRY ROCK SWAGGER WITH HIP SHAKIN’ BOOT STOMPIN’ COUNTRISASS ATTITUDE!

Shanya Lynn Dawson has earned her reputation as one of Canada’s most countrisassed firecrackers on the country music scene. Her hot new singles Cowgirl Up and This Was His have earned her writing recognition in the music industry, while both songs are quickly climbing charts and regularly being played on country radio across North America. Fueled with distinctive rock flavor, Shanya Lynn’s songwriting stakes claim of a daring and fun debut sound with wailing guitars and screaming fiddles. “Your music is phenomenal! We play it at our radio station and it’s doing so so well!” raves Josie, on air personality of the Josie Show. She continues, “I love all your songs! They’re so catchy! The lyrics are perfect… To a T!” – Josie Passantino of Country Blast Radio, national country music chart reporting station.

Proving her ability across the nation from an early age, Shanya Lynn is no stranger to performing! She grew up with an early successful career in television and film, with lead roles in several music videos and commercials – Kodak, Chrysler, McKeans, McDonalds, Wunderbar, and more. With the role of Ashley Carter, she appeared in the feature film, Blown Away, alongside actors Corey Haim and Corey Feldman. Shanya Lynn quickly became a recognized household face with her long standing role as Natalie on the ABC Family Channel series, Katts and Dog. With subsequent starring roles on popular television: Top Cops, Forever Knight, The Bionic Man, and T and T – to name a few, Shanya Lynn is still adored by fans around the world for her leading character as ‘The Dream Girl’ on Family Channel’s most played episode of Are you Afraid of the Dark. The Tale of the Dream Girl, according to M. Night Shyamalan, was the inspiration to the creation of the movie The Sixth Sense (1999). Shanya Lynn admits, “It’s very cool to know, if even in the smallest way, I was any kind of inspiration for such an epic film in history”.

“Shanya Lynn’s smooth transition from once applauded as “Canada’s Girl Next Door Commercial Smile” to “Wild Hearted Country Singer” was no surprise to those that knew her best” says Warren Sonoda, CCMA Director of the year, 2009. From a musical family, she began singing alongside her parents band at the age of six, and has now toured all over North America! Shanya Lynn reminisces, “performance and music have always lived at the roots of my very soul. Growing up in the small town of Kitimat B.C., my parents were members of THE town band, and my house was always full of musicians and a passion for country music”. Learning from a young age about the fundamentals of expressing one’s self through song, and the magic that happens when you connect to your audience, Shanya Lynn remembers her early years, “Id travel with my parent’s act to festivals and bandstands everywhere, where I couldn’t wait to get up on that stage and show ’em what I had!”

With that same ingrained passion to perform today, this country music artist knows how to connect with an audience, and always leave them wanting more. “Live…she is just awesome!” confirms Randy Owens, CCMA award winning on air personality.

On a writing roll, with a seamless blend of rock and country, follow up singles Hells Ya and Midnight Booty Call continue to deliver high energy vocal performances from Shanya Lynn’s boot stomping, kick yer ass attitude – live audiences have come to expect of this singer, songwriter, and recording artist. Shanya Lynn’s live show has been choreographed through the influential teachings of Tom Jackson, Taylor Swift and the Band Perry’s live music producer. Dedicated to performance, with a high energy actively touring act, Shanya Lynn has toured across Canada from West to East, as well as into the United States. She has had the pleasure of opening for renowned country artists Randy Travis, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Josh Turner, Scotty McCready, and other great talents. With a large fan base, Shanya Lynn Dawson has solidly earned her country rock swagger reputation for delivering a hip shaking, boot stomping live performance and is a highly sought after act, regularly playing casinos across North America, as well as many special events, theatres, festivals, and popular night clubs.
