Heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, and David Wilcox,  Rick is ready to take you on, what’s sure to be, a very memorable musical journey…

David G. Rose
(Bass/Vocals)

Hailing from Detroit Michigan, David honed his unique style of bass playing in and around the Detroit area, being heavily influenced by the Motown sounds of his hometown. David’s career took off as bass guitarist for the band “Champion”, featuring Alex Machin of “A Foot In Coldwater” fame. It was at the suggestion of lead singer Alex that David chose to relocate to Toronto and begin another chapter in his musical life. Management at the time asked David to do a quick tour with another one of their acts, Canadian artist David Wilcox, which led to over twenty years of touring and recording with the Canadian icon. David loves performing and work’s with an array of artists, endlessly perusing his love and passion of music.

Lee Chomiak
(Drums/Percussion)

Born and raised in Wasaga Beach, Lee’s obsession with drums began at a very young age, and he took full advantage of the local music scene, allowing him to develop the hard hitting style he’s known for today. An opportunity to tech for a high profile band, found Lee relocating to Toronto and working with some of the industries best. Legendary drummers like Pentti “Whitey” Glan, (Lou Reed, Alice Cooper), Joŕn Andersen, (Fludd, Alannah Myles), and Garry Peterson, (The Guess Who). Lee got his opportunity to step into the spotlight as drummer for Alannah Myles touring throughout Europe, and has never looked back.

Dylan Wickens & The Grand Naturals
Sep 17 @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

DYLAN WICKENS & THE GRAND NATURALS

True to the spirit of power trios of the sixties, Dylan Wickens & The Grand Naturals immediately grab the listener by the ears with their unapologetic take on the blues, by choosing to colour outside the lines with fuzzed up guitars and bass and melodic, hook-heavy vocal lines. Raw, real, modern and traditional; it’s that paradox which defines the sound of these three world- class musicians (Dylan Wickens, Dennis Napper, Mike Rajna).  The sophomore release, Hi Lo-Fi (2016) spent much of 2016 and 2017 in the Roots Music Charts and earned the group tours throughout Canada.  Their debut recording Tattoo Black was released in 2010 to critical acclaim and extensive airplay on commercial and campus radio, CBC, Stingray and specialty blues programs, quickly establishing themselves as one of the most original and exciting bands in the genre.  Wickens’ guitar work transitions between visceral stinging slide and soulful blues/rock with the combination of the two helping to define the band’s sound as both raw and real but contemplative, while his vocals are gritty and fervent with a “Clapton like growl and urgency” (Blinded By Sound). As a songwriter, Wickens composes well crafted and meaningful songs that often have a melodic twist at the end – a nod to the freestyle playing of 60s power trios.
